Typhoon relief fund is launched

On August 8, 2009, Taiwan was hit with Typhoon Morakot, with tremendously disastrous results in most of southern Taiwan. Hundreds of villagers have gone missing, and many have even died. Most villagers are currently without homes, food, or water.
The Foundation is holding a Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of Typhoon Morakot in Taiwan. All of the contributions are to be sent to Taiwan's Red Cross to directly help these victims.
TCEF has also partnered with Microsoft in a Gift Match Program. Employees of Microsoft have the opportunity to donate to TCEF to help these typhoon victims, and Microsoft will match their donations.
On August 21, 2009, TCEF attended an information session held by Microsoft's TAIME about Typhoon Morakot to give Microsoft employees the option of donating through TCEF.
